The YNG Dreamerz took care of business on Saturday night avenging their lone loss and taking the regular season series over the City Reapers in dominant fashion. Playing without MVP frontrunner Eli Ellis, it was Jaiden Haynes who stepped up, scoring a career-high 35 points while also making an impact on defense with four steals
Kohl Rosario recorded his third double-double of the season in an all-around great showing in which he scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Taj Walters was another role player who stepped up big time for this marquee matchup, filling up the stat sheet with ten points, nine boards and six assists
For the City Reapers, Meleek Thomas did everything in his power to keep the team in the game, registering a team-high 22 points and ten boards while also ripping five steals. Micah Tucker had his best scoring performance of the season with 21 points alongside five assists and four boards
The Cold Hearts held on to their fourth quarter lead to win just their second game of the season, defeating Jelly Fam 83-70 in the second game on Saturday night. Adam Oumiddoch put together one of his strongest games of the season, scoring 29 big time points while rounding out his gaudy stat line with nine rebounds and seven assists
Samis Calderon hit some clutch buckets down the stretch, as he finished his night with 13 points while making his usual impact on the defensive end with four steals. Landyn Colyer had his best game since joining the Cold Hearts, hitting some momentum shifting shots in the fourth quarter which saw him finish the evening with ten points on two three-pointers made
For Jelly Fam, Thomas Bassong put up his second consecutive double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds as he continues to be one of the more underrated players in the league. Yandel German wasn’t a big scoring threat but he did fill up the stat sheet in other ways, finishing the game with seven assists, four boards and four steals
