Trace McSorley is closing 2024 with big family news.
On Monday, McSorley and his wife Kasey announced on social media that they are expecting their first child in July 2025.
“Half of me and half of you . “Thank you Jesus for the most precious gift of all. Baby McSorley coming July 2025!!”
The couple started dating while McSorley started at quarterback for Penn State and announced their marriage in March 2023.
McSorley, 29, guided Penn State to a Big Ten Championship in 2016 and appearance in the Rose Bowl during his four-year career spanning 2015-2018. McSorley led the Big Ten in passing yards during the 2016 (3,614) and 2017 (3,570) seasons and combined for 107 total touchdowns in his career.
He rushed for 1,697 total yards, including 798 yards during his senior campaign. McSorley and Saquon Barkley powered PSU to a 38-31 come-from-behind victory in Indianapolis to defeat Wisconsin and set up a Rose Bowl for the ages against USC in Southern California. McSorley also led Penn State to a Fiesta Bowl victory over Washington in 2017.
At the time of his departure, McSorley owned PSU QB records for wins (31), passing yards (9,899), passing touchdowns (77), and touchdowns responsible for (107) and remains a fan favorite, with fans remembering how he would “throw it on a dime” to power Penn State’s offense.
He played three years in the NFL after being selected in the 6th round of the 2019 draft, including two with the Ravens from 2019-2020. The Steelers added McSorley to their practice squad during the 2023 season but he never entered game action in the black and gold.
