UNLV Basketball program continues to build up their 2025-26 roster with the addition of Howie Fleming, Jr.
On Tuesday evening, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball program has received a signed commitment from Fleming for 2025-26 season under coach Josh Pastner.
Fleming is originally Louisville, Kentucky and is transferring to UNLV from UTRGV (Texas-Rio Grande Valley) where he played as a redshirt junior during the 2024-25 season.
While at UTRGV, Fleming averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 56% from the floor, including 42% from beyond the arc. He also scored in double figures in 20 games, including five games with double doubles.
Fleming began his collegiate career at Illinois State where he played for two years. He also played a year at Winthrop. He is a 2019 graduate of Louisville Male High School where he was named to the second team and averaged 15.8 points per game.
“Howie is a versatile wing who will bring a dynamic presence to our team,” Pastner said. “He is very efficient on offense and is a crafty scorer. He also has the ability to guard multiple positions on defense, making him valuable on both ends of the floor. We are very excited to welcome him to the Runnin’ Rebel family.”
