Bryson DeChambeau to wear DraftKings logo at Masters

Reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau continues to make news ahead of the Masters tournament that begins Nov. 12.

As David Purdum wrote for ESPN, DeChambeau will sport a DraftKings logo on his hat, as part of a sponsorship deal with the company, at Augusta National Golf Club and become the first PGA player to wear the brand of a sports betting or fantasy sports company at a Masters.

Jason Kokrak wore a hat with a BetMGM logo when he won the CJ Cup held at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. The PGA televised live betting odds for the first time during that tournament.

"It's a new way for players and fans to engage," DeChambeau explained when speaking with ESPN. "It's a unique, cool way to interact in regards to fantasy, and as betting is becoming more widely accepted, I think it's a great additive to the sport."

Purdum added that DeChambeau is currently listed by DraftKings as the favorite to win the Masters at 8-1. DeChambeau generated headlines last month when he announced after the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open that he was taking a month off to improve his club speed for the Masters. He intends on scouting the course before the tournament.

"I want to be hopefully averaging around 200-mph ball speed," the 27-year-old told ESPN.
