If you grew up in the '00s, chances are you played with at least one of these toys. And if you didn't, you definitely saw a commercial or two.

Webkinz were released at the perfect time in history. Kids were just getting into computers, but they were still very much into stuffed animals. The creators of the toy made both the real-life and virtual aspects of the toy fun.

Bratz dolls

For quite some time, Barbies were about the only doll in their category. Then, in the ‘00s, a whole slew of new options came about, with Bratz leading the charge. These dolls took over with their unique shape and super trendy outfits and accessories. They were those girls.

My Scene dolls

My Scene dolls were a bit of a hybrid of Barbie and Bratz dolls. These dolls were fashionable and had male counterparts available very quickly upon release. The dolls even had their own web series, which, obviously, made them very hip and cool.

Dolls have always been popular, but giving them the likeness of two of the biggest teen stars on the planet was a genius move. With the release of Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls, fans everywhere could play right along with their favorite Mary-Kate and Ashley movies.

Pillow Pets

Whether you had a Pillow Pet or not, you absolutely knew the jingle for this toy. It was indeed both a pillow and a pet, and thanks to that particular mishmash, it became one of the most popular travel items for kids in the ‘00s.

Aquapets

There is something uniquely ‘00s about having a pet toy you couldn’t touch. Most of those toys were in the form of video or computer game characters, but there was also Aquapet, a pet toy that lived inside water housed in a fun little pod. It was portable and adorable.

Aquabeads

Aquabeads were one of those toys that you only ever saw on TV. If you were lucky, a friend of yours had some you could play with at their house. It’s probably for the best, though, as there was a huge recall on one brand of the toys after they were deemed toxic.

Robosapien

Kids will always like robot toys. Robosapien was one of the best options in that realm in the ‘00s. It was so popular that in 2013, it was adapted into a live-action film called Cody the Robosapien

iDog

Why did we stop making music players in the shape of something else? iPods changed the world in numerous ways, including introducing the iDog. This little toy was awesome, and it disappeared way too soon.

Doodle Bear

Someone somewhere finally wisened up and realized that kids will draw on stuffed animals no matter what, so there might as well be an option where they’re actually supposed to draw on them. Doodle Bears made for many relieved parents.

Dream Life

Kids who weren’t alive in the ‘00s can still experience several toys from that era, but they’ll never quite understand what was so fun about Dream Life. The game was played via DVD player, and now that that technology is essentially obsolete, so is the magic of DVD games.

Pixel Chix

‘00s toys were all about balancing technology with the joy of playing with a toy. Pixel Chix uniquely did that by creating doll houses that could sync with each other when connected. It was like going to your friend’s house without actually going to your friend’s house.

Hit Clips

How Hit Clips ever caught on is a mystery no one will ever be able to solve. But we thank them for their service. What a unique, iconic, useless toy.

Barbie Volkswagen Beetle

Barbie had multiple cars before the Volkswagen Beetle, but she got a new one for her 50th birthday (anniversary?). The Beetle was beloved by many Barbie girls, particularly for the sunroof, the stickers, and the compartment on the dash where you could place the rose.

Razor scooters

The number of ankles that suffered at the hands of the Razor scooter is too high to count. These outside toys were an absolute blast to play with, and adults had just as much fun on them as kids. They fit just about anybody, and they could go unbelievably fast.

LeapPad

Long before kids had iPads, they had LeapPads. These weren’t quite as technologically advanced as the tablets of today, but they were lots of fun. Parents loved them, too, as they were educational and kept kids engaged.

Moon Shoes

Moon Shoes existed before the ‘00s, but thanks to the commercials that flooded Nickelodeon, they took on a new life in the first decade of the new millennium. No, having a mini trampoline on your foot is unsafe, but it sure is fun.

Beyblades

Beyblades were released at the tail end of the ‘90s and took over in the ‘00s. These little Japanese toys could do some real damage if you weren’t careful, but they clearly haven’t been too detrimental as they’re still sold.

FurReal Friends

FurReal Friends

Kids love a toy that brings to life something that’s already real. Rather than being responsible for a pet, kids in the ‘00s had to care for their FurReal Friends. These lifelike toys came in the form of various animals, making the experience much more entertaining.

Poo-Chi

Before there was FurReal Friends, there was Poo-Chi. This robotic dog did the unthinkable: it pooped. Why are kids so obsessed with toys that poop? Why would a robotic dog need to poop? The ‘00s were a unique time.
