Noah Schultz was born in Naperville, Illinois, on August 5, 2003. He played high school baseball at Oswego East High School in Oswego, IL. He was the top-ranked LHP and the top-ranked overall player in Illinois. Schultz in his first season at Oswego East struck out ten batters over four scoreless innings, in his second season after he contracted mononucleosis. Once his high school season he ended, he played in the Prospect League for the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp where he made six starts going 1-0 with a 0.93 ERA, a 0.78 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts in 19.1 innings. Schultz was ranked the top LHP nationally and eighth for overall high school players. He committed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt University.

Schultz was ranked the 49th overall prospect entering the 2022 draft and he was the 18th ranked high school prospect. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox with the 26 th overall pick which he would ultimately sign with Chicago forgoing Vanderbilt.

In Schultz’s first season in the White Sox organization, he pitched at Single-A Kannapolis making ten starts going 1-2 with a 1.33 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts in 27 innings.
