The Toronto Blue Jays entered Monday with a 12-10 which had them two games back of the American League East-leading New York Yankees. Toronto has featured some nice pitching so far this season, with its cumulative 3.58 ERA ranking eighth in Major League Baseball.
While the Blue Jays have had great contributions from their rotation, their bullpen has been a pleasant surprise so far. Toronto's relievers have accumulated a 3.44 ERA, which is top-10 in MLB. But ahead of their series with the Houston Astros, it seems the Blue Jays will be making some roster moves to solidify an already thriving unit.
On Monday, the Blue Jays took to their X account to announce a couple roster moves. Left-handed pitcher Josh Walker has been recalled from Triple-A, and left-handed pitcher Easton Lucas has been optioned to Triple-A.
Lucas heads back to the minors after pitching 17 innings and allowed 14 runs. His WHIP of 1.53 did him no favors, nor did his five homers allowed.

Walker has pitched well in the minors so far this season. In his seven innings of work, he has allowed just two earned runs. He has also struck out 10 batters and walked just four. The 30-year-old has spent some time in the Majors, accumulating a 6.45 ERA in 24 big league games over two seasons.
The Blue Jays are hoping these roster moves will help their bullpen against the Astros, who entered this series with a 10-11 record that ranks fourth in the American League West.
