Cubs Announce New Wrigley Field Seating Experience

Earlier on Wednesday, the Chicago Cubs announced a new upgrade to Wrigley Field entitled “The Yard,” in which fans can have a unique experience in center field.

Creating a more intimate, “backyard” feel at the stadium, fans will be able to enjoy a game from the Budweiser Bleachers just above the batter’s eye. Starting at groups of four and going all the way up to fifty, fans will be able to purchase a ticket that includes a meal (Small Cheval burger, Vienna Beef hotdog, or vegetarian option), as well as a private cooler with unlimited beer, seltzer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. It will be accessible 90 minutes before first pitch and last until the end of the game.

I’ll be honest, this sounds pretty awesome. Wrigley Field already offers the luxury Club 1914 ticket worth a pretty penny; fans can now throw this option on their list of “Experiences to try at Wrigley Field Before they die.” Here’s the thing, tickets for The Yard are pretty pricey. According to cubssuites.com, prices start out at roughly $1,200 per groups of six, depending on which game and day of the week you choose.

The Yard is set to be open and available to fans at the beginning of the 2025 season. Let’s just hope the new addition can help the organization raise enough money for Tom Ricketts and the boys to break even this year.
