Dismal Braves Face Historic Road Back to Playoffs

Heading into the 2025 season, the Atlanta Braves had very high expectations. It is understandable, as they have plenty of talent on their roster and have consistently been one of the league's top teams for multiple years. However, their start of the season genuinely could not be any worse than it is now.

The Braves currently sport an atrocious 0-7 record and are the only team in the majors without their first win. The Braves were first swept in their opening four-game series against the San Diego Padres, which included being shut out twice. The NL East club then followed that up by getting swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers, being outscored 15-7 in the three-game series.

With this abysmal start, the Braves now face an incredibly challenging uphill battle to get things back on track. In fact, they now need to make MLB history to get themselves into the playoffs this fall.

No MLB team in the league's history has ever started the season with a 0-7 record and made the playoffs. Thus, the Braves will now look to beat the odds and be the first team to do so. However, it will undoubtedly be a very difficult task for the Braves to achieve.

The Braves will need all of their stars to be on their A-game from here if they hope to have any chance of making the postseason this year. They must bounce back immediately, as more consecutive losses will only hurt their odds even further.

It will be interesting to see if the Braves can get things back on track from here. They are set to begin a three-game series against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
