ESPN has made a massive announcement on the future of personality Rece Davis. Davis will be staying with the program after rounds of negotiations.

According to Michael McCarthy of Front Officer Sports, the network has signed Davis to a multi-year contract extension.

"Big news for ESPN College GameDay fans: ESPN has signed host Rece Davis to a multi-year contract extension. The 30-year vet will continue to host GameDay's football/men’s basketball franchises; anchor College Football Playoff studio coverage; ABC’s NFL Draft + call games."

Davis has been with the company for a long time and has become one of the more iconic faces within ESPN. Many fans love him on College GameDay during the college football and college basketball season, with Davis bringing all sorts of excellent coverage to the table.

With the help of Davis, College GameDay has become one of the most popular shows in the sports world. Fans tune in each weekend during the college football season, waiting to see what antics will take place.

Davis had reportedly been getting heavily pursued by Fox Sports, as the company wanted to make him a face of the network. But it seems that Davis is happy where he is and will stay with ESPN for the long haul.

This is a massive win for ESPN, and the company should be happy that they were able to keep Davis around. College Football coverage likely wouldn't feel the same without him, and fans everywhere seem to be very excited about this news.
