The Milwaukee Brewers are off to a 0-4 start to their 2025 season. While it is only four games, the Brewers have been hurting on all fronts, especially with their pitching staff. The Yankees swept them in their series opener. They also lost game one of their three-game series with the Kansas City Royals yesterday. Today, they have sent a reliever on a rehab assignment with the Nashville Sounds in Triple-A. Nick Means will work his way back to the team from an illness. This illness placed him on the injured list.

The Brewers have sent Means to Triple-A on a rehab assignment. He will pitch for the Nashville Sounds to work his way back to the Brewers’ Bullpen. Means has been on the injured list since March 24th with an illness. Before being placed on the injured list, he had pitched in three Cactus League games. He pitched in three innings, allowing five hits, one unearned run, one walk, and striking out two. Means left spring training with a 0.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP. Last year, Means began his season with the Colorado Rockies. Later, the Brewers made a trade to acquire the 28-year-old right-hander. In total, he appeared in 54 games last year with one win and four losses. Means pitched in 57.2 innings with 75 strikeouts, a 5.93 ERA, and a 1.47 WHIP.
The rehab assignment should be short. With any luck, Means should be available to be recalled by the Brewers on April 8th. The team will be in Colorado to face the Rockies. After this three-game set with the Royals, the Brewers will host the Cincinnati Reds.
