The 2022 MLB season is almost here. We've highlighted the betting odds for the Most Valuable Player award in both the American and National Leagues, and now we turn our attention to the Cy Young Award.
The Cy Young award betting odds are available on most major sportsbooks, and now is the time to scan the board and lock in a future before the season gets going.
Robbie Ray was the 2021 winner of this award, and is currently +1000 to repeat, the third-best odds in the AL.
Gerrit Cole is the betting favorite to bring home his first Cy Young award, currently at +450 on FanDuel. Cole would be the first Yankee to win the award since Roger Clemens back in 2001.

One has to consider Robbie Ray again. There has been no voting fatigue through the history of Cy Young winners, with plenty of repeat winners the past few decades.
Ray led the American League in ERA and strikeouts during a dominant 2021 season.
Cole is the favorite for the reason and also catches the eye as he was in the top three of both of the aforementioned statistics a season ago.
Both Cole and Ray were at the top of the AL in other statistics such as WAR and WHIP and are my preferred spots to look for a future bet here.
With news of Jacob deGrom's injury, the Cy Young futures market is wide open in the National League.
Max Scherzer is the current favorite at +700, and last year's winner Corbin Burnes is right behind him at +750.

The odds for Zack Wheeler feel intriguing here after a strong 2021 season. Wheeler was fifth in the NL in ERA (2.78) and first in strikeouts (247).
On a loaded Philadelphia team, the wins may follow and +1000 feels worth a look here. Wheeler also led the National League in Wins Above Replacement (WAR). Look for a big year from Wheeler on the Phillies.
