The Philadelphia Phillies had their best offensive performance of the season Saturday afternoon at home against the Miami Marlins. The Phillies had a season-high 18 hits and tied their season-high with 11 runs. Most of Philadelphia’s lineup got in on the action this afternoon. Eight of their nine players recorded a hit. This game was much closer than it should have been. Jordan Romano had a miserable game. He surrendered 6 runs and recorded only two outs. Jose Alvarado had to come in to record the save and prevent an embarrassing collapse in the top of the ninth.

Second Baseman Bryson Stott led the way with 3 RBI. Shortstop Trea Turner and Left Fielder Max Kepler each had 2 RBI.
