The offensive staff at Pitt has put an emphasis on recruiting South Florida skill position prospects and that push is being rewarded as a wide receiver atop the Panthers’ recruiting board is set to take an official visit with the program.

Three-star Cardinal Gibbons wide receiver Gary Hadley Jr. has scheduled an official visit with Pitt from June 5-7, he confirmed with Pittsburgh Sports Now.

Hadley is a rangy 6-foot-3, 184-pound wide out that the Pitt staff and offensive coordinator Kade Bell are looking to land in the 2026 cycle.

A Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native, Hadley picked up an offer from Pitt back in January. Along with the Panthers, he holds a list of  offers from LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Indiana, UCLA, Minnesota, UCF, Appalachian State, Eastern Michigan, FAU, Georgia Southern, Ohio, Temple, Tulane, Western Kentucky and Alabama State. Rivals rates Hadley as a 5.6 three-star.

Hadley has a lot of impressive qualities to like. His big frame and high-end speed prove difficult for defenders on the outside. His footwork and route running allow him to leverage the middle of the field, along with taking the top off the defense. He has a large catch radius, making him a coveted red-zone target.

This past fall, Hadley suited up for Blanche Ely High School as he hauled in 30 passes for 740 yards (24.7 yards per catch) and four touchdowns. He also filled in as a backup quarterback, completing 33-of-44 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns.

Pitt will host several other wide receivers on official visits, including Larry Miles (June 5), Santana Carlos (June 19-21), Zechariah Jenkins (June 19-21), Nyqir Helton (June 12-14), Blake Hamilton (June 5-7) and Dylan Wester (June 5-7).
