Reds and Closer Alexis Diaz Reach Agreement, Avoid Arbitration

The Reds and their closer Alexis Diaz agreed on a $4.5 million deal for the 2025 season on Thursday according to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer. That means they avoid arbirtration with their closer.

Diaz appeared in 60 games for the Reds in 2024 and had 28 saves with a 3.99 ERA.

The 28-year-old has been part of the Reds organization since 2015, and 2024 marked his third season at the Major League level.
