Last week, two teams in the Milwaukee Brewers organization began their 2025 seasons. First, it was the Brewers themselves who kicked off their campaign last Thursday. It took four brutal losses to start the season before they finally picked up their first win on Tuesday night.
On Friday, the Triple-A Nashville Sounds had their own Opening Day. They kicked off their season with a commanding 7-1 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp before losing their next three.
This week, the rest of the Brewers affiliates begin their 2025 seasons. The Double-A Biloxi Shuckers, High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, and Low-A Carolina Mudcats all have their respective Opening Days this coming Friday.
With that day drawing ever nearer, all three teams released their initial season rosters earlier this week. Let's take a look at which minor leaguers landed where and give some observations on the squads.
Now introducing your 2025 Shuckers! 5 Top-30 prospects, 15 returning players and a whole lot of talent is coming to the Coast for our 10th anniversary season!https://t.co/Grp87BvsJp

On offense, the Shuckers get three exciting additions to the roster. Our No. 2 prospect Cooper Pratt, who joined the team last postseason begins the regular season in Biloxi for the first time. He's joined by No. 15 Luke Adams and No. 25 Luis Lara.
Returning to the Shuckers is 2023 Brewers first round pick, No. 10 Brock Wilken. A scary moment that saw him take a pitch to the face wreaked havoc on his 2024 season, but he'll look to get back to mashing a year removed from that moment.
The pitching staff is led by 2024 Brewers Minor League co-Pitcher of the Year, No. 22 K.C. Hunt, who made it to Biloxi for six games last year. No. 31 Tate Kuehner, who pitched seven games for the Shuckers and had a 3.09 ERA across two levels, returns to join him.

The Timber Rattlers also have an impressive group of prospects leading the offense highlighted by No. 7 prospect Yophery Rodriguez. Just 19 this year, his first season of affiliated ball in 2024 produced a .250/.343/.383 slash line with 23 doubles, six triples, seven homers, and 60 RBIs in 110 games.
Fellow 19-year-old, No. 20 Juan Baez, also hits High-A for the first time after a season that saw him hit .274 with 18 doubles. No. 24 Blake Burke, last year's 34th overall pick, comes back to Wisconsin for his first full professional season.
No. 18 prospect Bishop Letson gets the jump to High-A despite the 2023 10th rounder only having 16 Low-A games and a 3.13 ERA to his name. Looking for a bounceback season will be 2023 5th rounder Ryan Birchard, who was limited to 10 games in his first pro season and an ERA north of six.

Naturally, all the talk in Carolina will be about the team's top prospect, infielder Jesus Made. At just 17 years old, he'll be making his affiliated debut and he is already being likened to stud Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio based on his quick ascent at such a low age.
That's not all to watch on offense, though. Other players to watch include infielders Eric Bitonti (No. 11), Luis Pena (No. 21), and Josh Adamczewski (No. 29) as well as 2024 draft picks Braylon Payne (No. 12) and Marco Dinges (No. 42).
Another 2024 pick joins the pitching side in No. 19 Bryce Meccage. The second round pick out of high school will be making his professional debut alongside a group that will be extremely fun to watch along with the rest of the Brewers system.
