Yankees' Broadcast Schedule for Spring Training Announced

Unless you are heading to Tampa and have tickets for George M. Steinbrenner Field, you’re first chance to see the 2025 Yankees will be Friday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. The YES Network and the Yankees announced that they will broadcast 24 spring training games on the YES Network and the Gotham Sports App.

It begins with the Yankees’ Grapefruit League opener Feb.21 against the Tampa Bay Rays at Steinbrenner Field. It will not only be a chance to see Yankees’ newcomers like Cody Bellinger, Paul Goldschmidt, and top prospect Jasson Dominguez, but it will be an interesting glimpse into American League East. The Rays will be playing their first game at Steinbrenner Field, which, after spring training, will be their home field for 2025. Their normal home, Tropicana Field, was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. The final broadcast of the spring will also feature the Rays and Yankees on Mar. 23.

That will be one of 15 games broadcast on the YES Network and the Gotham Sports App. Nine games will be solely streamed on the app.

Highlights of the broadcast schedule include the return of former second baseman Gleyber Torres with the Detroit Tigers on Feb.23 It will be his first time back at GMS since he left as a free agent. There is also a matchup against the Houston Astros on Mar. 1 and Mar. 11, and they will host the Baltimore Orioles in a preview of what is expected to be the battle for the division. They face National League East powerhouses the Philadelphia Phillies on Mar. 14. and the Atlanta Braves on Mar. 19, both games are at 6:30 p.m. They have two games against the Pittsburgh Pirates with a chance to see National League Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes on Mar. 3 and Mar. 16.

The Yankees will open their regular season Mar. .27 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
