After a two-race break, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rolls into Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Ecosave 200. Here is everything you need to know before the Trucks hit the track Friday.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Las Vegas Preview and Predictions:

The Ecosave 200 is the third race of the year for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Previously, we were racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with Kyle Busch beating Stewart Friesen after a dominating day. Rajah Caruth is the defending race winner and looking for his second career win with Spire Motorsports.

The Track: Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Built and completed in 1996, The Las Vegas Motor Speedway sits on a complex of motorsports facilities. Featuring a drag strip, dirt tracks, and a road course, the speedway the crown jewel of the facility. A 1.5 mile track, the turns feature 20 degrees of banking and 9 degrees on the front and backstretch. Currently only 11 drivers have won at the track, with Kyle Busch holding the win record at four wins, followed by Austin Hill with two. Zane Smith set the Truck Series track record in 2023, with a 30.04 second lap.

Drivers To Watch:

Normally at Las Vegas we would be predicting Kyle Busch as a lock to win. But this year he is not in the race. Justin Haley is making another start with Spire Motorsports, so he is the solo Cup regular in the field for Friday. We do have some part timers returning to the series. Stephen Mallozzi is making his first start of the year with Reaume Brothers Racing. Corey Day is piloting the #7 Silverado for the first time in 2025. Day signed a development deal with Hendrick Motorsports in 2024.

There are several drivers I think are maybes for winning this Friday at Las Vegas, and then there is the lock. Since this is the first 1.5 mile of the season, we can’t look back at the season and see who is hot right now. Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes are both veterans with wins at this track. Look for them to be up front. Chandler Smith is riding a top ten streak right now and has a win at Vegas. I am sure Rajah Caruth wants win #2. But none of these have had the dominance of Corey Heim. He won Daytona on account of Parker Kligerman’s DQ and six races in 2024.

Corey Heim is inevitable, and an almost lock for this race.
