A couple of NASCAR friends quickly turned to rivals during Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Chase Elliott, who appears to have a good relationship with Bubba Wallace off the track, was extremely heated by the No. 23 car's driving in Stage 2 and let him know about it over his radio.
"The damn 23 [Bubba] mirror drives us every week," Elliott relayed back to his team, via Speedway Digest's Brett Winningham.

Tempers tend to run hot in the middle of the action and it didn't take long for fans to take sides in the spat.
"I see a rivalry," a user replied.
"When you're sus, you're always looking back," another claimed.
"So the 9 is behind the 23 every week... Got it," a fan replied.
"@chaseelliott shouldn't be back there racing with the 23," another person tagged the driver. "@Hendrick9Team needs to really step up their game and get competitive."
"Then quit running mid pack with him every week," another user commented.
"Yep, that's how it works goofy [expletive] crybaby."
"Waaaaaaa," another fan mocked.
Unfortunately for Elliott that's just the way it goes sometimes. Approaching 400 laps, Wallace currently sits in 18th with Elliott just a few spots ahead.
We'll see how things unfold entering the final stretch in Bristol as Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin will look to maintain their respective leads and jockey for the checkered flag by evening's end.
