Adam Silver joined the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, which allowed him to enter a setting to get quite candid about the current state of the NBA, as well as offer a peek behind the curtain about the league's future.
Of course, the Luka Doncic trade, which sent the Slovenian superstar to the Los Angeles Lakers, came up.
Silver talked about every angle of the trade, even backing Nico Harrison's character.
With the playoffs rolling around, the league is entering the most important part of its calendar. The focus on the NBA will get bigger as sports fans will come together to enjoy some high-stakes basketball.
For Silver, it's a great opportunity to capture more fans, connect more fans to the league on a deeper level and overall grow the brand.
The commissioner of the league understands that, however, and even talked a bit deeper on how the NBA is looking to expand and grow -- outside of just bringing in expansion teams.
Among all the news Silver dropped, he did make a massive announcement about himself, personally, before the playoffs.
As Scott Agness shared on X, Silver announced he will be in Indianapolis this season as the Indiana Pacers will take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs.
"NBA Commissioner Adam Silver plans to be in Indy on Saturday, he told [Pat McAfee], as Pacers-Bucks get the NBA playoffs started," Agness shared on X.

The commissioner will be in the city as the NBA playoffs get underway, with the Pacers and Bucks battling to advance through the Eastern Conference field.
While there is plenty of work to be done in the league office, Silver will get to experience an incredible environment in Indianapolis as the playoffs officially get underway this weekend.
