Anthony Davis helped keep the Dallas Mavericks’ season alive with a big game on Wednesday night, and he let the opposing fans hear about it.

Davis had a team-high 27 points in the Mavericks’ 120-106 play-in tournament win over the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Dallas will now face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night for a chance to advance to the regular playoffs.

Davis was subbed out late in Wednesday’s game because the Mavericks had such a commanding lead. While he was sitting on the bench, some Kings fans began chirping at him. Davis had no problem giving it right back.

The 10-time All-Star told the fans they might want to head out so they can beat the traffic home.

The Kings were eliminated from the play-in tournament with the loss, so their fans really had nothing to talk trash about. The night began with the home team trolling the Mavericks during player introductions, but Davis and company got the last laugh.

After the Mavericks traded Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving suffered a season-ending knee injury, many felt they should just shut Davis down and pack it in. They are still fighting, however, and Davis showed on Wednesday that he is up to the challenge.
