Syracuse transfer guard Elijah "Choppa" Moore entered the transfer portal on March 24th in the midst of the NCAA Tournament.

Over the past couple weeks, he has been taking visits trying to find his next home. With three years of eligibility remaining, he has a great chance to make a big name for himself and further his career in the hopes to make it to the NBA.

After a very successful visit last week to the Utah Runnin' Utes, he has announced that he will be transferring to Utah to further his career.

Moore made a name for himself by scoring 24 points against one of the best defensive teams in the country in Tennessee.

A huge recruit that is now in the Runnin' Utes' hands, as they look to make a push forward in the Big 12.

After an unfortunate end to the 2024 season with losing six of their last seven, including a first round loss in the College Basketball Crown tournament to Butler, they look ahead to next season with higher hopes.

Moore will be the third transfer to join Utah in the offseason, accompanied by James Okonkwo and Terrence Brown. The pairing of these three players on top of their returning players could make this team one of the more well-rounded teams in the Big 12.

Their freshman coming into school this season are not great, as they are unranked prospects, but could develop well behind the solid transfers they have brought in.

Head coach Craig Smith's vision is growing as these transfers pile in, and will be interesting to see if he makes any more splashes.
