The Phoenix Suns are on the road on Friday night as they travel to the Target Center to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Phoenix enters Friday’s contest amid a recent hot streak as they have won six of their last 10 games.

Of course, the Suns had won four games in a row before they were blown out at home by the Boston Celtics on Wednesday and they will now look to bounce back against a red-hot Timberwolves team.

Minnesota has won seven of their last 10 games but they are coming off a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday.

Unfortunately for the Suns they will once again be without their star guard Bradley Beal in Friday’s game due to a hamstring injury.

Beal has missed Phoenix’s last five games due to a left hamstring strain and that streak will extend to six games on Friday.

While Beal being sidelined is a massive blow for the Suns, they have played extremely well without him, minus Wednesday’s blowout loss to the Celtics.

Phoenix has gone 4-1 over the last few weeks with Beal out of the lineup and it is clear that they are a better team with him on the bench, which could play a key role in their offseason decisions.

Despite this, Beal’s absence is still a big one for the Suns as he is one of their best scorers outside of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

This season, the 31-year-old guard is averaging 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 50.5% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range.

With Beal sidelined on Friday, expect Collin Gillespie and Ryan Dunn to continue to have an increased role and Durant and Booker will be relied upon to provide most of Phoenix’s offense.

Fans can catch Friday’s matchup between the Suns and Timberwolves at 8:00 p.m. EST on NBA TV.
