Damian Lillard is inching closer to joining the Milwaukee Bucks for their playoff run.
The Bucks upgraded Lillard to questionable for Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, per NBA insider Chris Haynes. Lillard has been sidelined since mid-March when he was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf.
Milwaukee missed Lillard during their 117-98 Game 1 loss. The Bucks shot just 41.7% from the field and a miserable 24.3% from beyond the arc.
Lillard was in street clothes for the matchup but got into a verbal altercation with some of the Pacers players. In the fourth quarter, Lillard was assessed a technical for exchanging words with Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam.
Lillard recently opened up about his health scare, expressing gratitude for the chance to return to the court and continue competing.
“Obviously there’s people with way worse issues than I’ve dealt with, so I don’t want to be dramatic about it, but you just never know when something could come up and change your life,” Lillard said . “It’s been guys like Chris Bosh who dealt with this, and then it’s another issue, and it could be a career-ending thing, so I think you just can’t take days and opportunities and things in your life for granted."
The Bucks are a 4.5-point underdog for Game 2, per ESPN BET.
