Payton Pritchard's shooting fell off in the Boston Celtics' final games before the All-Star break. He broke out of the slump in big way Thursday night.

Pritchard made five three-pointers in the first half and shot 8-of-15 from deep for the game as the Celtics blew out the Philadelphia 76ers, 124-104.
Before the break, Pritchard shot 3-of-18 in Boston's final two games, though both were double-digit Celtics wins. But the rest did Pritchard well, as he scored a team-high 28 points. It also helped that he was on the road, where Pritchard is shooting 42.7 percent on three-pointers this season, compared to 40.4 percent at home. Perhaps Pritchard thrives on making opposing fans suffer.
After the game, Jayson Tatum praised his teammate, telling TNT's Allie LaForce, "He's gotta be the Sixth Man of the Year."
He's the favorite on FanDuel to win the award, averaging 14.1 points and shooting 41.5 percent on three-pointers. Pritchard is seventh in the league in three-pointers despite coming off the bench in all 55 of his games this season.
The Celtics are dangerous offensively with just their starting lineup. But when Pritchard is shooting well from behind the arc — and often well behind the arc — opposing defenses have to decide between keying on Tatum and Jaylen Brown, or getting shredded from outside by Pritchard.

Pritchard's likely to hoist the John Havlicek Trophy this year. If he keeps shooting like this, the Celtics will end up with the Larry O'Brien Trophy as well.
