The Boston Celtics took a commanding lead over the Orlando Magic, as their 107-98 victory gives them a 3-1 advantage going back to Boston. The Magic kept it close throughout the entire game, even tying it at 97, but the Celtics held strong and pulled the win out.
Plenty of factors went into how the Celtics won their first game in Orlando since October 2022. Jayson Tatum put up 37 points and 14 rebounds, Jaylen Brown put up 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Kristaps Porzingis put up 19 points.
One Celtic who definitely made his mark on the game was Al Horford. Although he may not have scored that many points (six), one particular stat made him stand out.
Filling in for the injured Jrue Holiday for the second game in a row, Horford put up five blocks in the nearly 35 minutes he played. Not only was he quite the rim protector, but Horford made history with this stat line.
Per the Celtics' official stats account on X, Horford is now the second player in NBA history to register five blocks at 38 years old or older. The only other player to share such a feat is NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Tonight, Al Horford became the second player in NBA history to record five blocks in a playoff game at age 38+. The other is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Abdul-Jabbar played in the NBA until he was 42 years old. Horford is 38 and will be 39 in June. There's also no telling how much longer he is going to play.
Horford has been praised for his longevity as an NBA player. Records like these further prove how good he is despite being one of the oldest players in the NBA.
