The Celtics are signing forward Miles Norris to a two-way contract, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Norris, who has yet to make his NBA debut, has been playing for the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League.

In 36 games, including his Showcase Cup and regular season appearances, he has averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.0 steals in 30.6 minutes per game.

Undrafted in 2023 after his college career at UC Santa Barbara, Norris initially signed a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks but was waived in December. He then joined the Hawks’ G League affiliate in College Park, where he averaged 11.6 points and 6.0 rebounds across 45 games.

Norris participated in the Memphis Grizzlies’ training camp this past fall after signing a camp deal, but was waived prior to the season.

The Celtics created space for Norris by waiving rookie forward Anton Watson on Sunday, opening a spot on their two-way roster.

The Celtics are coming off a 110-103 home win over the Nuggets on Sunday.

As the Associated Press wrote: “One game after blowing a 22-point lead and losing to the NBA-best Cleveland Cavaliers, the Celtics coughed up most of a 20-point lead against Denver, the No. 2 team in the West. The Nuggets, who trailed 59-39 in the final minutes of the first half, scored 10 straight points near the end of the third to cut a 15-point lead to five.”
