A leaked picture of a presumed Chicago Bulls jersey surfaced on X that referred to as "Official images at the City Edition Nike x NBA Jerseys.”
If the image in @EldenMonitors’ X post truly represents the Bulls’ 2024-25 City Edition jersey design, then it shouldn't be a surprise if fans become polarized about the visual design.
Absent are any traditional Bulls’ colors, font, or a pronounced logo. In the meantime while Bulls fans await a formal announcement on the 2024-25 City Edition uniform, relive in-game highlights from the entire history of wearing the Nike-mandated alternate looks.
In the inaugural season of Bulls City Edition uniforms, Zach LaVine delivered high-octane scoring as Chicago defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb 9, 2018.
Zach LaVine looked the part of a bonafide Windy City super hero in the Bulls’ Chicago city flag-inspired City Edition uniform, as he scored the game winning field goal on March 6, 2019.
The third edition of the Bulls City Edition uniform continued to evoke civic pride with another Chicago city flag color scheme. In that uniform, Zach LaVine delivered a dominant performance against the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 4, 2019.
The Bulls’ 2020-21 City Edition uniforms carried a dazzling art-deco aesthetic that paid homage to Chicago architecture and more explicitly the font used in United Center signage around the arena. On the court, however, the Bulls’ effort against the Milwaukee Bucks on April 30, 2021 was less than dazzling in a 108-98 loss.
The color red and classic Chicago script font delivered another timeless Bulls uniform design with the release of the 2021-22 City Edition jersey. In a period that many Bulls fans will remember with mixed emotions, a roster revamped with DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso suffered a close loss to the Miami Heat on Nov. 27, 2021.
In one of the more subdued Bulls City Edition uniforms, Nikola Vucevic delivered a strong revenge game against his longtime former team, the Orlando Magic, that unfortunately fell short in a 108-107 loss on Nov. 18, 2022.
Finally, the 2023-24 City Edition jersey also received a leaked social media preview before the Bulls formally announced the uniform design. Chicago put together a strong performance to defeat rookie sensation Victor Wembamyama and the San Antonio Spurs 114-95 on Dec. 21, 2023.
