CNN Kobe Bryant Documentary Series Premiers Tomorrow Night

Each episode, with the next two airing on Feb. 1 and Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on CNN, runs about 45 minutes and dives deep into Kobe Bryant’s life story. The documentary brings together a wide range of voices—friends, teammates, teachers, classmates, former players, current stars, prosecutors, journalists—and features rare video clips of Kobe himself, along with moments from his parents, Joe and Pam.

Even the most diehard Kobe fans will find something new to take away from this series. Whether it’s rare footage of a young Kobe playing youth basketball in Italy while his dad was a pro there, or highlights from his legendary high school days at Lower Merion in suburban Philly, the documentary captures the depth and complexity of one of basketball’s greatest icons.

The documentary features insights from an impressive roster of basketball luminaries, including Hall of Famers Tracy McGrady and Sheryl Swoopes, current Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson, and longtime Lakers trainer Gary Vitti.
