De’Aaron Fox has been with the Sacramento Kings ever since he was drafted in 2017 and he’s been improving his game and his production in every single season of his career up to this point. The Kings guard has electrified the league with his speed with the ball for so long and people still underrate him, as he has the potential to be a top-five point guard in this league if he keeps up the trajectory. Here’s a look at his 2023-24 production.

De’Aaron Fox 2023-24 Production

De’Aaron Fox averaged 26.6 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 5.6 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game last season for the Kings. The NBA steals champ from last season has brought a lot of value for fantasy owners, and “Swipa” is one of those guys who could get you a three steal, or four steal game every once in a while. Last season was his best season as a scorer with 26.6 as his career-high number.

The duo of De’Aaron Fox and Demontas Sabonis should be a good fantasy duo for the Kings heading into 2024-25 as they were a bright spot for a Kings team that missed the playoffs a year after being the third seed in the Western Conference in the 2022-23 season. Here’s a look at Fox’s 2024-25 projections.

De’Aaron Fox 2024-25 Projections

ESPN currently has De’Aaron Fox as the 21st-ranked player in their ESPN NBA Rotisserie Scoring metrics heading into the 2024-25 season. Here’s the stat line projection for Fox for 2024-25: 26.6 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 5.8 assists per game, and 1.9 steals per game. “Swipa” will get more steals than ESPN is projecting because he’s the best on-ball defender point guard with the knack of getting steals, other than the steals being a little lacking for Fox, ESPN is projecting him to have a similar season to his 2023-24 season with a slight uptick in his assists.

The impact that Fox and Sabonis can make this upcoming season as a duo will determine how much success the Kings will have this season. Fox and Sabonis could be that duo that will shock a ton of people and carry the Kings back to the playoffs like in 2022-23. De’Aaron Fox has the potential to finish as a top-5 point guard in fantasy if he elevates his assists above 7 assists per game because of his ability to get steals along with his improved scoring. It will be interesting to see how Fox takes another step to improve his game.

Final Thoughts

De’Aaron Fox is worthy of a late second-round pick in the redraft format this upcoming season and will be useful to his owners every time he steps onto the court because of his durability. “Swipa” will also make you some money on the DFS scene as well this upcoming season, especially considering he’ll have a budget slightly lower than the top half of the point guards like Luka, SGA, or Tyrese Haliburton. He’ll have a similar budget with Jalen Brunson, Stephen Curry, and LaMelo Ball to start the season.
