In just about every aspect, the Detroit Pistons have been an incredibly fun team this season.
On Saturday night, they took a 109-103 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, who were in quite the need for a win.
Just one season ago, they were 14-68 as the worst team in the entire league. After getting awful luck and landing the No. 5 pick in the recent draft, they've been able to have a massive turnaround.
With 78 games under their belt, the Pistons have a 43-35 record, which has them locked in a playoff spot for the coming postseason.
Not only did the Pistons have a massive turnaround in the win column, but they've built a sure identity behind star guard Cade Cunningham.
The club has a strong young core, but the additions of Malik Beasley and Tobias Harris can't be overstated. The two veterans bring a presence that wasn't going to be had otherwise.
Beasley has been an elite role player for the squad, too. During the loss to the Grizzlies, the Pistons' sharpshooter achieved what only three other NBA players have in history.
On Saturday, in front of the Pistons' fanbase in Detroit, Beasley knocked down his 300th 3-pointer on the season -- a mark only three other NBA players have done in league history.
"MALIK BEASLEY'S 300th 3-POINTER OF THE SEASON," the NBA shared on X. "The 4th player in NBA history to reach the mark!"

When a team has plenty of capable young talents that thrive with the ball in their hands, having a sharpshooter like Beasley can unlock plenty offensively.
The sharpshooter is essential to the Pistons' electric playstyle that has helped lead their turnaround this season.
