Devin Booker has been a career-long Phoenix Sun since he was drafted in 2015. Booker has elevated his game every season of his career. Still, last year he had a slight dip in production with points per game but raised his assists per game because he was the primary ball-handler last season initiating the offense after the CP3 trade for Bradley Beal. Regarding Booker’s assist per game going up, let’s look at his 2023-24 NBA and Olympics production.

Devin Booker 2023-24 and 2024 Olympics Production

Devin Booker averaged 27.1 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and a career-high 6.9 assists per game in the 2023-24 NBA season. As stated in the intro of this outlook, Booker was the point guard for this team last season because of the trade of CP3 for Bradley Beal. Booker did miss some time early on because of injury, but when he was on the court he was a huge asset for fantasy owners last season. The Olympics was good for Booker as well, he was strong for the gold medal winners.

In Paris, Booker averaged 11.7 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, and 3.3 assists per game. Booker had key moments at times in this past Olympics, including some clutch shots when needed throughout the tournament. D-Book is one of those players that thrives with the ball in his hands and is getting better with the decision making so 2024-25 is going to be a huge year for the Suns if the elevation of him as point guard grows. Here’s Devin Booker’s projections.

Devin Booker 2024-25 Projections

Devin Booker is projected to finish as the 27th-ranked player overall player in fantasy according to ESPN Fantasy. ESPN is projecting Booker to average 28.6 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 6.5 assists per game, and 0.9 steals per game in the 2024-25 season. The combination of Booker and Kevin Durant is going to be even better this upcoming season because of the Olympic chemistry and another season together after having a full season together last year.

Booker’s efficiencies should go up this year especially if Beal stays healthy so they have the trio play together more during this upcoming season especially if the Suns want to be successful in a tough Western Conference.

Final Thoughts

Devin Booker will be a Top-20 player in fantasy if he stays healthy and keeps up the passing and scoring that he had last season. Booker is one of those players who has always been an elite scorer of the ball and can be a playmaker at times.

If the Suns get 28 points per game and 6.5 assists per game from Booker this year they could be a Top-6 seed in the loaded West and with those projections, he’ll win fantasy owners a lot of money in DFS and will win your redraft leagues. I love getting Booker in the late second and early third of your redrafts leagues, especially at the right price. Booker will be a higher price in DFS, but he’ll be worth every penny this season.
