The Golden State Warriors' Game 2 showdown against the Houston Rockets was filled with bad news for the franchise. Jimmy Butler had to be ruled out for the contest due to a pelvis contusion he sustained after a nasty fall, while Brandin Podziemski was listed as questionable to return due to illness.
To make matters worse, the Warriors found themselves trailing 60-46 at halftime without two key players. Sure enough, it was a rather forgettable start for the Dubs.
However, during the game, Draymond Green gave the Warriors a reason to celebrate.
Green entered the contest with 243 career playoff steals, behind Hakeem Olajuwon (245) for the 20th spot on the all-time playoff steals list. Interestingly, the Warriors veteran already had three steals by halftime, allowing him to crack the Top 20.
The NBA, for its part, highlighted Green's accomplishment and congratulated him for it.
"Congrats to @Money23Green of the @warriors for moving into 20th on the all-time playoff STEALS list!" the NBA wrote.

Sure enough, the historic feat drew plenty of reactions from fans, with many heaping praise on Draymond Green.
"GREEN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST DEFENDERS OF ALL TIME," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "BEAST."
"That's what he does," a fan added.
A supporter remarked, "20th all-time in playoff steals! What a career. Congratulations."
"He really that good," a fifth poster shared. A follower further stated, "Draymond Green is [Top]."
It remains to be seen how many more steals Green can get in the 2024 playoffs. But considering how close he is to the other players on the all-time playoff steals list, he should be able to move further up.
