During the 2023-24 NBA season, Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid is showing an elevated level of play compared to his 2022-23 MVP campaign. From scoring to rebounds, here’s a breakdown of how Embiid’s stats have surged this season.

Embiid is currently leading the league in scoring with an impressive 35.1 points per game. That surpasses his previous mark of 33.1 points. In the rebounding department, he has improved from 8th to 5th place, now averaging 11.8 rebounds compared to 10.2 rebounds last season. His offensive rebounding has also seen a significant boost, moving from 46th to 13th place, going from 1.7 offensive rebounds to 2.9.

In terms of playmaking, Embiid’s assists have risen from 4.2 to 5.9, moving him from 49th to 19th in the league. These Statistics Have Vaulted Embiid into Contention for Another MVP Award

Embiid’s exceptional performance has placed him at the forefront of MVP talk early in the 2023-24 season. His dominance has propelled the Sixers to a 19-8 start, positioning them among the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

The 29-year-old has even maintained good health. He’s played in 24 of the team’s first 27 games. Currently, he’s on track to set career highs in points, assists, and offensive rebounds per game. No surprise, Embiid also leads his team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. As well, his free throw shooting is much improved, and sits now at a career-high 89.3%.

Embiid’s impressive statistics include leading the NBA in several categories. These include points per game, free throws made per game, and field goals made per game.
