Zaccharie Risacher scored a season-high 38 points to lead the Atlanta Hawks (36-45) to a 133-109 win over the Brooklyn Nets (29-52) on Thursday night at Barclays Center.
The No. 1 overall pick shot 15-of-20 from the field and hit 6-of-11 from three-point range. It was his fourth 30-point game of the season and the fourth time he’s made five or more threes in a game — both tops among rookies this year.
Trae Young added 24 points and 12 assists as the Hawks shot 57% from the field overall. Dyson Daniels nearly had a triple-double with 10 points, nine assists, nine rebounds, and three steals, pushing his league-leading steals total to 226.
Jalen Wilson led Brooklyn with 20 points. Tosan Evbuomwan added 18 points and six rebounds.
Atlanta never trailed, opening up a 69-45 lead at halftime behind 23 first-half points from Risacher. The Hawks made their first 12 shots of the second quarter — their best such stretch since February 2023.
Atlanta, which is promoting Risacher for Rookie of the Year and Daniels for Defensive Player of the Year, clinched the season series 2-1 over the Nets — their first series win against Brooklyn since 2017-18.
Next, the Hawks visit the 76ers on Friday, while the Nets travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.
