Kings Make 4-Word Statement After Grizzlies Game
Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings entered Monday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies looking to snap their four-game losing streak.

That is exactly what they were able to do as Sacramento took advantage of the shorthanded Grizzlies 132-122 despite Desmond Bane scoring 44 points on 15-26 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-7 shooting from three-point range.

Malik Monk led the way for the Kings, recording 28 points and seven assists to lead them to a much-needed victory.

Zach LaVine recorded 23 points and six assists of his own while DeMar DeRozan added 22 points, six rebounds and nine assists in the victory.

After the win, the Kings made a four-word statement on social media.

“Kings tame the Grizzlies,” Sacramento posted on X after Monday’s victory over the Grizzlies.

Of course, the Grizzlies were without their star point guard Ja Morant in Monday’s matchup but it was still an impressive victory for the Kings.

Sacramento also had to play most of the game without their star center Domantas Sabonis after he suffered a facial laceration. Sabonis played just 12 minutes in the game but Monk, LaVine and DeRozan were able to step up in his absence.

This was a much-needed victory for the Kings who were able to snap their four-game losing skid.

They now have a three-game buffer over the Dallas Mavericks for ninth in the Western Conference standings and they trail the Los Angeles Clippers by three and a half games for the eighth seed.

Sacramento will now look to build off Monday’s impressive victory when they host the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
