The New York Knicks have waived Matt Ryan and Jacob Toppin, the team announced Sunday.

Playing on two-way deals, neither Ryan (19) nor Toppin (16) exceeded 20 appearances this season for the Knicks.

According to a report from SNY, New York now has an open slot on its 15-man roster and can add a player on a two-way deal or a traditional contract.

The deadline to sign players to two-way contracts is March 4. The same SNY report indicated that the Knicks could be targeting Moses Brown, who is currently on a 10-day deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Ryan, 27, averaged 3.6 minutes per game and 1.5 points. He joined New York in the offseason from the New Orleans Pelicans (2023-24). He has also played for the Boston Celtics (2022), Los Angeles Lakers (2022) and Minnesota Timberwolves (2022-23).

Toppin, 24, has played his entire career with the Knicks, averaging 3.5 minutes and 0.8 points per game over two seasons (25 games).
