The Dallas Mavericks somehow kept their season alive on Wednesday night despite everything they have been up against this year, and Kyrie Irving was happy with what he saw.

The Mavericks beat the Sacramento Kings 120-106 in the play-in tournament game between the two teams at Golden 1 Center at Sacramento, Calif. Dallas will now face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night for a chance to advance to the regular playoffs, while the Kings have been eliminated.

Irving, who is out for the season with a torn ACL he suffered on March 3, shared a message on social media after his team’s big win.

“Yessir @dallasmabvs way to handle business tonight!! MFFL Tribe,” Irving wrote on X.

It will be a while before Irving plays for the Mavericks again, but he wants to show that he is still fully invested in the team.

Anthony Davis led all Dallas scorers with 27 points in Wednesday’s win over the Kings. He got into it with some fans at the end of the game and had a savage message for them.

Most people thought the Mavericks would pack it in after they traded Doncic and Irving went down with his knee injury weeks later. Davis was also nursing an injury at the time, so there was speculation that he could be shut down for the year. Instead, the Mavs have kept fighting. They are now one win away from earning a first-round date with the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder.
