Austin Reaves has been a big beneficiary of the Los Angeles Lakers trade for Luka Doncic, scoring 15 or more points in five of his first seven games with his new teammate.
However, in his most recent game against James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers, Reaves was limited to just eight points after suffering a calf strain early in the 106-102 win.
Reaves was unable to return against the Lakers' inner-city rival, playing in just nine minutes of action. This injury also kept the former Oklahoma guard out for Sunday's 108-102 win over the Clippers, only his sixth missed game of the 2024-25 NBA season.
On Monday, the Lakers released their initial injury report for Tuesday's game against Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. And Reaves has been listed as questionable, still recovering from his calf strain.
Doncic has also been ruled as questionable after suffering a knee contusion in Sunday's win. He was forced to the locker room for some time but returned to action. LeBron James is probable due to the management of his left foot injury.

The Lakers have been one of the better NBA teams over the last few weeks, winning six consecutive games and 16 of their previous 19. And Reaves has been a big part of the run. On the season, he is averaging 19.1 points and 6.0 assists, both of which are career highs.
Following the Pelicans game, the Lakers will be back in action on Thursday, facing Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks before heading to Boston on Saturday to face the defending champion Celtics.
