The Minnesota Timberwolves are gearing up for the start of their season, with the NBA preseason beginning on October 4th. The regular season tips off on October 22nd, when the Timberwolves will face the Lakers in Los Angeles.

The NBA Cup, now in its second season, kicks off on November 12th, with the Timberwolves playing their first group stage game. During the tournament, home teams often showcase bold, eye-catching court designs to highlight the significance of the event for fans.

This season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are taking a darker approach with their court design, as revealed by leaked NBA 2K25 files. The leaked files have given fans an early glimpse at the Timberwolves’ new in-season tournament court. It showcases a bold and dramatic look for the upcoming games, mocking the statement jerseys.

The home team wore their city jerseys for the IST last year, but if this leak is accurate, the Wolves will wear their statement greys.

At first glance, it looks fresh and clean, and while it matches their statement jerseys, which fans love. It’s a complete departure from last season’s in-season tournament jerseys and court design.

Keep in mind, this new leak isn’t confirmed or official yet. It was pulled from the NBA 2K25 files, which strongly suggests it could be the court for the NBA Cup this season. However, nothing is set in stone until we get an official word from the NBA or the Timberwolves.

Last season, the Minnesota Timberwolves used a lighter blue court for their NBA Cup games. Which was inspired by their city edition uniforms that coordinated with the court design.
