Starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star game were announced on Thursday night and the Denver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokić was named as a frontcourt starter for the Western Conference.

Jokić will join Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers in the West frontcourt while Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder will man the backcourt for the West.

This is a well-deserved honor for Jokić who is putting together arguably the best season of his career. This will be the three-time MVP’s seventh All-Star appearance and the fifth time he has been named a starter.

Of course, Jokić has had another incredible season thus far for the Nuggets. The 29-year-old is averaging 30.1 points, 13.2 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 56.3% from the field and 47.5% from three-point range this season.

Jokić has also found himself in the MVP race once again this season as he tries to win the fourth MVP award of his career. The superstar center has led Denver to a 27-16 record thus far, which has them sitting fourth in the West standings.

Unfortunately for Denver, Jokić is likely to be their only star this season after Jamal Murray started off the year slowly and Michael Porter Jr. has cooled off some after his hot start.

Fans can catch the 2025 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 16 in San Francisco on TNT with tipoff coming at 8:00 p.m. EST.
