According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets have mutual interest.
The Phoenix Suns are expected to trade Durant this summer.
There has been a level of mutual interest between the Rockets and Kevin Durant, per @ShamsCharania.
If Houston is eliminated early from the playoffs, they figure to become a top trade suitor for Durant.

Durant has a rapport with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka, who was an assistant coach on the Brooklyn Nets in 2020-21 when Durant was on the team.
Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Suns this season while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from 3 and 83.9% from the free-throw line. He turns 37 in the fall.
Durant has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Nets and Suns. He’s a two-time champion, a two-time Finals MVP and a one-time MVP.
One of the greatest scorers in NBA history, Durant will make $54.7 million next season in the final year of his contract.
Durant doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. However, his camp is expected to work together with the Suns to find the right landing spot.
Sources told Hoops Wire that the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat will attempt to trade for Durant this summer.
Durant was open to getting traded to the Timberwolves, Spurs, Rockets and Heat at this year’s trade deadline. The Suns had a deal to send Durant to the Warriors, but KD didn’t want to go back to Golden State.
“Kevin Durant is a top-three name in this league,” one high-ranking NBA official told ESPN. “I can see a team who’d love to have him for a season just to sell tickets.”
The Rockets will face the Warriors in the first round of the 2025 playoffs. Houston hasn’t won a playoff series since 2020, when James Harden and Russell Westbrook were on the roster.
