Shaquille O’Neal Suffers Unexpected Issue After Nuggets-Clippers

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Clippers stole Game 2 on the road against the Denver Nuggets to even up one of the best first-round series of the NBA playoffs at 1-1.

Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard put on a vintage performance, dropping 39 points on 15-for-19 shooting in Los Angeles' 105-102 win. Nuggets star Nikola Jokic called the competitive series with the Clippers "the best basketball you can watch."

After the exhilarating action, NBA fans were eager to hear the beloved crew of TNT's "Inside the NBA" break down Game 2. However, Shaquille O'Neal was faced with an unexpected issue right when the studio team was about to discuss Leonard's performance.

"The other thing about Kawhi is—" said two-time NBA champion Kenny Smith.

Before he could finish his thought, Smith was interrupted by the Big Diesel springing up from his chair at the desk in Studio J.

"You alright big fella?" Smith asked in disbelief. "You catching a cramp?"

Seven-time Emmy-winning host Ernie Johnson broke his typically cool character, asking aloud, "That wasn't something planned, was it?"

"I did not like his gait as he left," Johnson joked about O'Neal.

While the former Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat center did not explicitly reveal the reason he got up, co-hosts Smith and Charles Barkley immediately took a guess.

"After 40, you can't hold it any more," Smith said, implying O'Neal made a bathroom run.

Barkley blamed the emergency on O'Neal's new habit — drinking shots of olive oil to "clean his gut."

Johnson corroborated that he had seen the routine take place in the makeup room. When Barkley told him O'Neal was committed to doing the cleanse for two weeks, it raised an alarm about his availability for the rest of the playoffs.

"He's going to miss a lot of air time," Johnson joked.
