Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets vs. Knicks

Spread: Knicks -7.5

2 Star play on the Hornets (+7.5): The Knicks will be riding into this matchup red-hot, winning six straight and 12 of their last 14. However, they will be without Julius Randle who sustained a dislocated shoulder on Saturday night. It might take a game or two for the Knicks to adjust, so this is a good spot for the Hornets to catch them. I don't think they win the game, but I'll take the 7.5.

Over/Under: 222.5

1 Star play on the over: This is a rather low total, but for good reason. New York has the second-best scoring defense in the NBA, allowing 109.8 points per game. Even without Randle, I see the Knicks holding firm on that end of the floor. However, the Hornets have shot the ball much better of late and have done a good job of spreading the wealth. The over has hit in five of the last seven for the Hornets...make it six out of eight.
