Suns Get Massive Update in Kevin Durant Trade Saga

With the Suns missing the playoffs, they are expected to make some massive changes to their roster in the offseason which could include them trading both Durant and Beal to build around Booker for the future.

If that is the case, Durant would become arguably the most sought-after player on the trade market in the offseason, but a recent report suggests that the Suns could do something to keep him in Phoenix.

According to insider Chris Haynes, there is a possibility that Durant could stay in Phoenix if the Suns sign a “hard-nosed, largely respected” head coach.

Of course, the Suns fired head coach Mike Budenholzer last week after he seemed to have lost the locker room during their abysmal season.

Budenholzer and Durant also did not get along too well, with multiple occasions of the two getting into shouting matches on the sideline during games.

With Budenholzer now gone, the Suns have a massive decision to make regarding their head coaching vacancy, especially with Haynes’ report coming out.

Despite this, the Suns listened to offers for Durant at the trade deadline, which did not sit well with the future Hall of Fame forward.

Because of this, the relationship between Durant and the Suns organization may be unfixable, which will likely result in him being traded in the offseason as the two sides try to fid success without each other.
