If the Atlanta Hawks want to live to see the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, they're going to need a much stronger defensive performance. While Dyson Daniels may not be getting much shine as a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, he's still a game changer for the Hawks. Daniels became the first person in the 21st Century to average three steals-per-contest in 2024-25 at exactly 3.0 to lead the NBA.
After allowing 120 points to the Orlando Magic in the 7/8 Play-In Tournament game (and zero Dyson steals for just the fourth time this season), Hawks fans will look for a step up against the Miami Heat.
Which brings us to today's quiz. How many of the NBA players to lead the league in steals per game since the merger (1976-77) can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
