Unexpected LeBron James Item Selling for Insane Amount

A new LeBron James doll has taken the toy world by storm, quickly selling out and becoming one of the most sought-after collectibles of the year.

Released as part of Mattel's fresh "Kenbassador" collection, the doll features the likeness of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar and was priced at $75. Fans rushed to grab the limited-edition figure both in person and online.

Within hours of its release, it was sold out across major retailers including Target, Amazon, Walmart and Mattel Creations.

The demand didn’t stop there. On the resale market, the James doll is now fetching over $100 on average, per the New York Times. One rare version, signed, even reached a jaw-dropping $3,000 on auction sites.

On StockX, it reportedly broke records with more than 1,400 sales in a single day, topping the platform’s previous best-ever launch for a collectible.

The excitement started early, with fans lining up two days ahead of the initial launch at a Los Angeles boutique, as shared by Nice Kicks on X.

In a video shared by Complex Sports on Instagram, James appeared both excited and amused, noting the doll’s unique outfit and adding one special accessory himself: an “I Promise” wristband from his charity foundation.

"Okay, now we official," he joked after adjusting the doll’s look.

The toy itself is more than just a miniature of the basketball icon. It includes thoughtful design elements like a letterman jacket with patches representing James' hometown of Akron, his jersey number, and his foundation.

The outfit also features a shirt that reads "We Are Family" and accessories like sunglasses, headphones and Nike sneakers.

James said being part of the project meant a lot to him, especially as a way to inspire kids.

"As a kid, I had role models who helped me dream big. Now I get to help the next generation believe they can do the same," he said, according to ESPN.

Mattel described the doll as a celebration of positive role models and praised James for his influence on and off the court. For now, the doll continues to rise in value, turning into both a collector's gem and a pop culture moment.
