Unflattering video of Nikola Jokic’s playoff flopping circulates online

Nikola Jokic is causing his own reputation to take a hit this postseason.

An unflattering video of the Denver Nuggets star center Jokic made the rounds online Tuesday. The video was a compilation of all the embarrassing flops that Jokic has produced thus far through just the first two games of his team’s playoff series against the LA Clippers, which is now tied 1-1 after Denver’s loss in Game 2 on Monday.

Jokic’s exaggerated flails seemingly got increasingly more ridiculous with each passing instance. But he was indeed able to successfully draw a couple of whistles by using the tactic (though many other flops went uncalled). You can view the video below.

The seven-time All-Star Jokic is officially listed at 6-foot-11 and 284 pounds. Thus, it looks pretty absurd when a man that large crashes to the deck after some light contact from 6-foot-4 Norman Powell or 6-foot-3 Kris Dunn.

Additionally, Jokic, a three-time NBA MVP, is already considered by most people to be the single best player in the NBA right now. Plenty would make the argument that Jokic, who averaged a 30-13-10 triple-double on the season as a whole, can easily dominate a game without having to resort to cheap tactics such as flopping.

Now in his 10th NBA season, Jokic has never really been known as a flopper to this point of his career. But if this year’s postseason is any indication, Jokic has now joined this fellow NBA superstar in the category of all-time greats who flop.
