This March, Dillon Brooks said the Grizzlies were building a dynasty. Unfortunately, that dynasty keeps running into the Warriors.
Playing without Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins, Golden State upset Memphis on Christmas Day. Once again, Brooks was in the center of the action, especially when Klay Thompson drew a technical for taunting Brooks as he fell after Thompson hit a jumper.

Brooks has been public enemy No. 1 for the Warriors since he broke Gary Payton II's elbow in last year's playoffs, which got him an ejection and a one-game suspension.
After Sunday's incident, Thompson called it "good old-fashioned trash talk."
Warriors' Klay Thompson on taunting Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks: "Just some good old-fashioned trash talk. I don't think it warranted a technical but I forgot about the taunting rule. It's always fun to talk trash. We've been doing that since we were in middle school."

Brooks was much angrier about Thompson and the officiating afterward.

“Refs let it happen. He was doing it all game then they want to catch the bad guy. That’s wack to me. F-cking up calls and putting the wrong guys at the free-throw line. It was a circus. Should have had different refs.”
The officials called five fouls on Brooks, who scored 13 points and also committed five turnovers in a rough game for the dynasty leader.
Broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy said there were "egregious mistakes," like when the referees allowed Klay Thompson to shoot free throws after teammate James Wiseman was fouled.
In a move unbefitting of a trash talker, Brooks even tried to tattle on Draymond Green for cursing.

It was a chippy game all around, with the Warriors committing six technical fouls, including one from Green on the bench after he wildly celebrated Brooks missing the subsequent freebie. Jordan Poole was ejected with nine minutes to go after his second technical, making some dubious history.

Memphis returns to San Francisco for a rematch exactly a month later on Jan. 25. The Grizzlies have thirty days to build their dynasty to prepare.
