Will Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle Play Against Thunder?

The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their dominant stretch on Sunday as they took down the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.

This marked the Thunder’s second consecutive victory and their 10th win in their last 12 games. They will now face off against the Timberwolves once again on Monday as the second game of a back-to-back, but this time they will be at home.

For Oklahoma City, they enter Monday’s game almost fully healthy. They have ruled out both Nikola Topic and Ajay Mitchell for Monday, and they have yet to announce whether Chet Holmgren will play.

Of course, the Thunder have held Holmgren out in back-to-backs after he returned from his hip injury. Those came ahead of the All-Star break, so the Thunder may allow him to suit up Monday night, but nothing has been determined yet.

For the Timberwolves, they will once again be shorthanded on Monday. Minnesota has already ruled out Donte DiVincenzo due to a tow sprain and Jaylen Clark may also be out after he left Sunday’s game with a neck injury.

Minnesota may also be without their frontcourt duo of Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle in Monday’s matchup.

Gobert has missed the team’s last three games due to lower back spasms, and he is listed as questionable for Monday’s game in Oklahoma City. If he is unable to play, expect Naz Reid to continue to start in his place.

For Randle, he has been sidelined since Jan. 30 with a groin injury. He has been cleared for five-on-five activities, but missed Sunday’s game against the Thunder and he is listed as questionable for Monday, with it unlikely that he suits up.

If both Randle and Gobert are unavailable to play, expect the Thunder to feed their frontcourt duo of Holmgren, if he plays, and Hartenstein to take advantage of Minnesota’s lack of size.

Fans can catch Monday’s matchup between the Timberwolves and Thunder at 8:00 p.m. EST on NBA TV.
